Frequently asked questions

What is Pink Footy & Netball Day?
Pink Footy & Netball Day is a great way for sporting communities to pay tribute to those affected by breast cancer within the community.

Football and netball clubs from all across Australia 'pink up' their matches and raise funds and awareness for Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA).

When and where is it being celebrated?
Football and netball clubs will celebrate the event over the Mothers Day weekend 12-13 May 2012. Games will be held at football ovals and netball courts across Australia. Participation is open to any team from any state.

When can we register for the event?
Registrations are open online now and are essential to participate in Pink Footy & Netball Day. Registrations are only open to the first 1000 clubs, so register now!

What is the cost of hosting a Pink Footy & Netball Day?
Upon registering your club, you will be sent a free event pack that contains a range of promotional items required to run your event.

Pink footballs (ceremonial) and netballs (match quality) will be available for purchase, along with a wide range of fun pink items to wear. You can also choose to sell merchandise at your event, with all proceeds going to support the work of BCNA.

What is the final date to place an order?
The final date to register your club will be Friday 27 April, however, supplies may run out before then so it's important to register as soon as possible from March 2012!

How will the Pink Footy & Netball Day material be sent to me?
All Pink Footy & Netball Day material will be delivered via courier.
Please note: packs cannot be sent to a PO Box address.

Will someone need to be available to sign for the delivery?
Yes. All materials will be delivered by courier and will require a person to be present to sign for the delivery.

Can I purchase my Pink Footy & Netball Day pack through my netball or football association?
No. All payments need to be made directly to Breast Cancer Network Australia.

Do we have to purchase a pink football or netball as our match day ball?
No, the event pack is sent to your club for free. Clubs can then choose to purchase any additional items.
It is important to note that pink netballs are of match quality but pink footballs are ceremonial only and are not match quality.

Can other sports aside from football and netball participate in Pink Footy & Netball day?
